Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brenton David Nickles ("I", "me", "we") collects, uses and protects information when you visit brentnickles.com (the "Site"). If you have questions, email brent@brentnickles.com.
The short version
- I don't sell your personal information, and I never will.
- The Site uses privacy-friendly, first-party analytics to understand which pages are useful.
- If you contact me, I use what you send only to reply and to work with you.
- You can ask me to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Information I collect
Information you choose to give me. When you email me, text me, book a call, or join a waitlist, I receive what you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, website and your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and its hosting provider automatically receive basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
Analytics. The Site measures visits with a first-party analytics setup: your browser sends small, anonymous page-view events to the Site itself, which forwards them to Google Analytics. To tell visits apart, the Site sets a first-party cookie (_fp_cid, kept for up to two years) and a session identifier stored in your browser for the current tab. No Google scripts are loaded in your browser.
Advertising pixel. If enabled, the Site may load the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure page views and build advertising audiences. Meta's use of that data is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
How I use information
- To reply to you, schedule calls and provide the services you ask for.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve its content.
- To send you information you've asked for (you can opt out at any time).
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Third-party services and links
The Site links to and works with services that have their own privacy policies, including: the booking calendar and product pages at jds1marketing.com and sprint.jds1marketing.com; Google Analytics; YouTube (videos load only when you click play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode); Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Facebook profiles; and Vercel, which hosts the Site. When you leave the Site or use one of these services, their privacy policies apply.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the Site will still work. Many browsers also let you send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal; I honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information (which I don't do in any case). You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google's browser add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
How long I keep information
I keep contact and client information for as long as needed to work with you and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Analytics data is kept in aggregate according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.
How I protect information
The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and access to business systems is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including California (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. states with privacy laws, and the EU/UK (GDPR) — you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information I have about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that's inaccurate.
- Ask me to delete your information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising.
- Not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email brent@brentnickles.com. I'll verify your request and respond within the time required by law (generally 30–45 days).
Text messages
If you text me, your message and phone number are used only to reply to you. I don't add you to marketing text lists without your separate, explicit consent, and you can reply STOP at any time to any automated message.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for business owners and professionals. It isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the Site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
