What a Self Trust Pickup Is (and Why I Post One Every Day)

I spend most of my working life on systems: SEO, ads, follow-up, automation. So people are sometimes surprised that the thing I post every single day has nothing to do with any of that.

It's about self trust.

What a Self Trust Pickup is

A Self Trust Pickup — STPU — is a one-minute clip I post daily on Instagram. The idea is simple: a short reminder to summon the best of who you already are.

Not who you should be. Not a version of you that exists after one more course, one more hire, one more quarter. Who you already are, today, and your ability to realize it and show up.

Why mindset is the most important thing

Here's what I believe after building a business: tactics matter, but they're always changing. AI is speeding the game up. But the game has always been the same — be your best self.

The systems I build for clients only work if someone runs them. Someone has to answer the phone, ask for the review, make the hard call, and keep going on the week when nothing seems to be working. Without your sense of purpose, none of the rest matters.

That's why my content has two halves: systems that grow your revenue, and the version of you who can handle it.

What self trust actually looks like

Self trust isn't confidence. Confidence is a feeling, and feelings come and go. Self trust is closer to a track record — with yourself.

  • You do what you said you'd do, even the small things, even when no one's watching.
  • You make a decision and let it be made, instead of reopening it every night.
  • You can hear "no" from a prospect without deciding it means something about you.
  • You rest without guilt, because you trust yourself to get back to it.

Every kept promise to yourself is a deposit. Every broken one is a withdrawal. The balance is what you draw on when things get hard.

How to pick yourself up (the one-minute version)

When the day goes sideways, here's the simple reset I come back to:

  1. Name it. "This is frustrating." Just saying it takes some of the charge out.
  2. Remember one thing you've already handled that was harder than this.
  3. Pick the next small action — one call, one email, one task — and do it now.
  4. Keep the promise. That's the deposit.

That's a pickup. It's not dramatic. It works because it's small enough to actually do.

Why I share it publicly

Radical transparency is my superpower. I share the systems openly, and I share this side too, because I think business owners are tired of pretending the inner game doesn't exist.

If you want a daily minute of it, follow along on Instagram. Be happy. Be yourself. Be your potential.

Pass it on

Know someone who needs this?

Send it to one business owner who's been wrestling with this. It takes five seconds, and it might save them months. That's being kind to their future business.
